You have probably owned at least one smart litter box that asked for too much. The WiFi drops at 2 a.m., the phone app wants you to re-pair, firmware updates brick the drum on a Sunday, and the cat still flinches at the hooded door. The Open-Top Self-Cleaning Litter Box skips all of that. Plug it in, set the cycle, and nine sensors watch the rim and inside every second, pausing the moment a cat steps in and resuming only after exit. The open-top frame lowers the entry for shy and senior cats that duck away from enclosed boxes, and the low rim lets you glance in from across the room. A 10L sealed drawer holds roughly ten days of clumped waste for two cats, so a long weekend away does not need a sitter. No app, no WiFi, no subscription. The drum runs on bentonite or mixed clumping litter, so the brand in your pantry keeps working as long as granules stay under 15 mm (0.6 in). In the box: cat litter box, sealed waste drawer, protective mat, power adapter, roll of garbage bags and user manual.
